Jennifer Lopez got a night away from Max and Emme Saturday night when she attended a housewarming party at Tom Cruise’s house. (She’s pictured above getting into the car that left the party.)

This was no ordinary housewarming party, however. Apparently Victoria Beckham, Eva Longoria, Brooke Shields, Jeremy Piven, and Rita Wilson were there, too. Know who else?

Oprah. Yep, the two must have made nice after the couch jumping incident.

Tom and Katie bought a $35 million dollar mansion and then stuck more money into it over the last year. Their big housewarming shindig ended at about 1:00 a.m.

So I’m wondering, where was Marc? We know his “shift” with the kids is 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. so apparently he couldn’t come out and play with Jen.

Lossip has some new pictures of Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony as they were spotted “leaving the Waverly Inn” Monday night.

According to the source, the couple also baptized their twins last Saturday and “invited family members and close friends to a top-secret ceremony at a church near their Long Island, N.Y. estate.”

You know what THAT means, don’t you? Tom Cruise is not the godfather of the babies!

I’ve heard rumblings of this, but I still can’t seem to believe it’s true. Several sources have now claimed that Jennifer Lopez has asked Tom Cruise to be godfather to her twins. One source says she “persuaded her husband Marc Anthony to give Tom the role despite their differences in religious beliefs.”

Jen and Marc are Catholic, and as we all know,

Tom is a Scientologist.

Maybe it’s the gift giving that persuaded J-Lo to offer Tom the job. After all, Tom and Katie gave the twins a big party, a big fish tank, and a whole lot of clothes and DVDs to welcome them to the world. Although, I can’t imagine Jen would be swayed by gifts, when she’s pretty much got millions herself.

What to get the woman and her children who have everyting? How about just have a party where other people can get them stuff?

That’s what Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are doing for Jennifer Lopez. They’re planning a big old bash in a couple weeks time, complete with balloons, celebrity guests, a giant fishtank.

One source says the guests will include Victoria and David Beckham, Eva Longoria and John Travolta.

“While David and Victoria can’t promise to be there because of David’s football commitments, they’ve offered to help in any way they can. Katie has even organised children’s entertainers to go along and is setting up a special Playstation games room for them. Tom and Katie wanted to get them something different and special so they thought a giant fish tank would be great.”

The party is expected to cost £100,000. (That’s about $200,000 for simple folks like us.)
