Flashback: Jennifer Lopez on Letterman

October 22, 2008 by Cherie

In 2005, Jennifer Lopez appeared on David Letterman to promote her move An Unfinished Life.

Letterman starts out totally gushing over Jennifer. He talks about her looks, her personality, and her talent. He appears smitten!

Then he asks about Jen & Marc Anthony’s first anniversary and how they celebrated. They talked about how Jennifer supports Marc and how women throw things up on stage when he’s performing. J-Lo is very charming and funny in this segment. She also talks about making her movie An Unfinished Life with Robert Redford and Morgan Freeman.

In the second part of the interview Jen talks about being punished a lot in high school. She tells a story about sneaking her boyfriend into her house (which is a long story but very cute) and then you get to see a clip from the movie.

Jennifer Lopez on Good Morning America: Photos and Video

Did you guys happen to catch Jennifer Lopez on Good Morning America today? Well fear not! I’ve got the clip below, along with some great pictures.

As usual, Jennifer was very charming and natural. She is as real and funny as my best girlfriend. She was talking about training for the triathalon along with the editor from Self magazine, and she freely admits she’s afraid of not finishing. (Although I just can’t imagine that, can you?)

She also talks about the last few months with raising the kids without the help of a nanny, and how she’s getting ready to go back to work. I think every woman will appreciate her natural fear that she won’t be able to fit in everything she needs to do! Don’t we all feel that way!

Here’s the video clip from her appearance.

Jen joked around with the reporter, and also gave the date of the triathalon: September 14th! Mark your calendars!

Here are a few more great shots of her interview.

Flashback: J-Lo Performs “If You Had My Love” on Letterman

July 25, 2008 by Cherie

It’s hard to believe it was almost ten years ago that Jennifer Lopez released her first album. She’s come a long way now with lines of perfume, clothing, and of course, a new family.

But in 1999 she was all about her new album, On the 6. The first single from that was “If You Had My Love” and she hit the talk show circuit performing and singing. Here she is on Letterman performing live.

You can tell this is a live performance, because the vocals are really bad! It’s not the best we’ve heard Jen sing. In fact, she even looks like she’s struggling to hear the sound. She adjusted her ear piece several times during the song. She also looked to me like she was holding back from really dancing a lot. You can tell this is one of her first times performing her own music.

Still, she looks beautiful, though, doesn’t she? What a long way she’s come!

Flashback Friday: J-Lo Salsa Dancing on the Keenan Ivory Williams Show

May 23, 2008 by Cherie

We all know by now that J-Lo got her start on In Living Color as a fly girl. So it’s especially interesting to see her on this video with Keenan Ivory Williams.

After they chat for a bit, Keenan surprises her with Albert Torres, and the two of them do an impromptu salsa dance. It is awesome! J-Lo gets back to her roots with this dance, and she does a sexy turn at the end. Very fun. Here’s the clip:

Marc Anthony In the Guinness Book of Records: Take Note Pete Wentz!

April 23, 2008 by Cherie

I never realized Marc Anthony was so funny! He has a great personality, and it really comes out during his appearance last year on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

Jay is asking him about what he got Jennifer Lopez for her b’day (nothing!) and how long it would take her to get ready for a night out during their tour. He’s very charming and down to earth.

I also never realized until now that Marc is in the Guinness Book of World Records for being the top salsa singer of all time, and has held that title for the last seven years. Very impressive! I know Pete Wentz from Fall Out Boy was trying to get his band into the record book, so maybe he can take inspiration from Marc.

Here’s Marc’s Tonight Show segment. He’s on promoting El Cantante but he talks about a lot more than that:
