It’s hard to believe it was almost ten years ago that Jennifer Lopez released her first album. She’s come a long way now with lines of perfume, clothing, and of course, a new family.

But in 1999 she was all about her new album, On the 6. The first single from that was “If You Had My Love” and she hit the talk show circuit performing and singing. Here she is on Letterman performing live.

You can tell this is a live performance, because the vocals are really bad! It’s not the best we’ve heard Jen sing. In fact, she even looks like she’s struggling to hear the sound. She adjusted her ear piece several times during the song. She also looked to me like she was holding back from really dancing a lot. You can tell this is one of her first times performing her own music.

Still, she looks beautiful, though, doesn’t she? What a long way she’s come!

Besides being busy with the “nightshift” in watching the twins, Marc Anthony is recording three studio albums. Billboard reports that he’s working with Billy Joel and Babyface to make a pop album. He’s also recording an album full of Spanish ballads and a “tropical” album.

They’re all coming out at the end of the year. Looks like J-Lo isn’t the only workaholic in the family!

Jennifer Lopez will be starring in a new “docu-series” on TLC. Jen is pictured above as she and TLC CEO Angela Shapiro speak at the Discovery Upfront event at the Lincoln Center yesterday in New York City. TLC said Jen’s passionate about life and would make a great role model for this type of show.

According to E News, the new series will follow Jen as she “balances her roles as multihyphenate career woman, wife to Marc Anthony and mommy to twins Emme and Max.” That’s no doubt what she’s talking about here:

Jen is also going to be the “coexecutive producer.” Busy lady that she is! She has a lot going on these days with her perfume line, movie roles, and singing, so it will be interesting to see how she balances it all with her new twins.

As yet the series is not titled and there is no word on when it will start appearing on TLC. But you can be assured we’ll announce it here as soon as we know. We can’t wait!

I came across these photos of Jennifer Lopez during her appearance on Good Morning America back in October. I think it’s interesting to look back now, because at the time these photos were taken she was already pregnant and none of us knew it! There weren’t even the rumors back then! Although now by looking back at it, she does look pregnant here.

It’s obvious she’s trying to cover up her newly expanding belly by this choice of outfit. Still, she looks great. I can’t imagine having to perform in the early stages of pregnancy with twins no less! I’d like to know her secret for maintaining energy.
