It’s amazing how much Jennifer Lopez’s live has reflected her ex-boyfriend Diddy’s. Now that Jennifer is turning more of her focus toward acting and producing (and away from music), Diddy appears to have done the same. Not just acting, but comedic acting.

Diddy announced on the Craig Ferguson Show, “I just signed on to do a comedy, as a matter of fact. I can’t announce who it’s with, but it’s with some definitely comedy heavy hitters.”

Time flies. Jennifer Lopez and P. Diddy (Puff Daddy, Sean Combs) were arrested nine years ago today in conjunction with a nightclub shooting. Thankfully, charges against Jennifer were eventually dropped.

I wonder if J-Lo thinks about today and realizes how far she has come. She’s got a whole different life now. Granted, she might be having marriage troubles, but even that cannot match the fear involved with guns and an arrest.

Sean Combs apparently wants to guest star on 30 Rock. One source says he’s “trying to holler at Tina Fey” and that he’s been talking with his buddy Tracy Morgan (who stars on the show.)

If I had to guess, I would say Tina Fey would jump at the chance to have P. Diddy on 30 Rock. More than that, I think it would be great for his career. Remember how that stint on Will and Grace really helped out J-Lo?

Or how about this… Jennifer Lopez AND P. Diddy on 30 Rock! I’d watch it, wouldn’t you?

Oh that Diddy. He’s the ultimate sound byte, isn’t he?

Well now Sean Combs as been quoted as saying he won’t dress so extravagantly so as not to rub it in to the rest of us with no money.

Geee….. thanks much Diddy!

He said, “It’s one thing to be stylish; it’s another to be over the top. You gotta know when to hold back and not rub it in.”

Yikes… you think he really knows how to reel it in?

I suppose you’ve heard about these problems with Plaxico Burress? Plaxico, a New York Giants Receiver, shot himself in the leg over the weekend with a handgun while in a nightclub.

Does that sound familiar? Kind like of Diddy with that nightclub shooting a few years ago?

Well the scene of that incident isn’t the only thing those two have in common. Plaxico has hired Benjamin Brafman to represent him. Brafman is the same lawyer who represented Diddy.

All this has me thinking about Jennifer Lopez. This nightclub shooting is one reason she and Diddy broke up. When I hear something like this happen with someone else, I can’t help thinking of Jennifer now, all happily married and at home with her two beautiful babies. It’s like two completely different worlds. I think Jennifer has made the right choices to get to a happy and quiet life now, don’t you?

Diddy has created a short movie for his new fragrance, “I Am King.” And I have to say, I LOVE the fact that he’s done this. It’s a very cool video.

But he didn’t just want to promote his new fragrance, he is also using the short YouTube film to help “audition” for the next Bond movie. He says:

“This fragrance is dedicated to Barack Obama, Muhammad Ali, Martin Luther King and all you men out there who take care of your families and respect and treat yourself like the Kings that we are all. I would like to also announce that this is my audition tape for the next James Bond. There is a black president and it’s time for there to be a black Bond.”

I think Diddy would be great as bond, don’t you?

Sean (P. Diddy) Combs and Aretha Franklin are going to do a new “American-Idol” type talent show in 2009.

Instead of pop music, they’ll be searching for the new R&B and hip-hop talent.

I personally LOVE everything about this idea! I’m a huge fan of R&B and hip-hop, so to be able to view (and hear) young talent like we get to do on Idol would be sweet indeed. Also, how GREAT is it that Diddy and Aretha are doing this together? Love these two seperately, so I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the show.

PLUS, I think Diddy and Aretha each have strengths that could really help the young up and comers. Aretha’s voice is AMAZING (she even sings OPERA!) and Diddy has proven himself as a marketing mogul in music.

Their new show will NOT have fans vote for people, however. (I’m frowning as I write this…. you know I would have been on those phone lines in a second!)

Well, J-Lo always said he was really good at buying gifts, so maybe he was stocking up for Christmas?

Well this seems like perfect casting…. J-Lo’s ex, Diddy (Sean Combs, Puffy, Puff Daddy…. you know….) will be featured in an upcoming CSI-Miami. He’s going to “play the role of a federal prosecutor who has a strong dislike for the show’s main character Lt. Horatio Caine.”

Doesn’t everyone dislike Horatio Caine on that show?

I think Diddy will be very good on CSI-Miami, don’t you? Just think of the chicks, the sun, the glam…. it has Diddy’s name all over it. Since Jennifer has a place near Miami, maybe she could come on set and visit? You think?

Anyways, Diddy is not abandoning his musical career anytime soon. He’s back in the recording studio hammering out a new album.

P. Diddy got himself a bargain recently.

Well… a bargain to him, but probably not to you and I!

P. Diddy is a great businessman, and his recent purchase is the urban clothing line Enyce, which is bought from Liz Clairborne for $20 million. He plans to remake the brand and give it that P. DIDDY STYLE.

We can’t wait. And that deal, by the way, is huge. Liz Claiborne bought the brand for $114 million just five years ago.
