Time flies. Jennifer Lopez and P. Diddy (Puff Daddy, Sean Combs) were arrested nine years ago today in conjunction with a nightclub shooting. Thankfully, charges against Jennifer were eventually dropped.

I wonder if J-Lo thinks about today and realizes how far she has come. She’s got a whole different life now. Granted, she might be having marriage troubles, but even that cannot match the fear involved with guns and an arrest.

Sean Combs apparently wants to guest star on 30 Rock. One source says he’s “trying to holler at Tina Fey” and that he’s been talking with his buddy Tracy Morgan (who stars on the show.)

If I had to guess, I would say Tina Fey would jump at the chance to have P. Diddy on 30 Rock. More than that, I think it would be great for his career. Remember how that stint on Will and Grace really helped out J-Lo?

Or how about this… Jennifer Lopez AND P. Diddy on 30 Rock! I’d watch it, wouldn’t you?

I suppose you’ve heard about these problems with Plaxico Burress? Plaxico, a New York Giants Receiver, shot himself in the leg over the weekend with a handgun while in a nightclub.

Does that sound familiar? Kind like of Diddy with that nightclub shooting a few years ago?

Well the scene of that incident isn’t the only thing those two have in common. Plaxico has hired Benjamin Brafman to represent him. Brafman is the same lawyer who represented Diddy.

All this has me thinking about Jennifer Lopez. This nightclub shooting is one reason she and Diddy broke up. When I hear something like this happen with someone else, I can’t help thinking of Jennifer now, all happily married and at home with her two beautiful babies. It’s like two completely different worlds. I think Jennifer has made the right choices to get to a happy and quiet life now, don’t you?

It must be tough to be Diddy.

Well, J-Lo always said he was really good at buying gifts, so maybe he was stocking up for Christmas?

Well this seems like perfect casting…. J-Lo’s ex, Diddy (Sean Combs, Puffy, Puff Daddy…. you know….) will be featured in an upcoming CSI-Miami. He’s going to “play the role of a federal prosecutor who has a strong dislike for the show’s main character Lt. Horatio Caine.”

Doesn’t everyone dislike Horatio Caine on that show?

I think Diddy will be very good on CSI-Miami, don’t you? Just think of the chicks, the sun, the glam…. it has Diddy’s name all over it. Since Jennifer has a place near Miami, maybe she could come on set and visit? You think?

Anyways, Diddy is not abandoning his musical career anytime soon. He’s back in the recording studio hammering out a new album.

P. Diddy got himself a bargain recently.

Well… a bargain to him, but probably not to you and I!

P. Diddy is a great businessman, and his recent purchase is the urban clothing line Enyce, which is bought from Liz Clairborne for $20 million. He plans to remake the brand and give it that P. DIDDY STYLE.

We can’t wait. And that deal, by the way, is huge. Liz Claiborne bought the brand for $114 million just five years ago.

There’s no doubt that Frank Sinatra influenced culture in the 60s, and apparently, he’s made an impact on P. Diddy as well. Diddy is doing a new black and white commercial for Ciroc vodka that gives a nod to the days of Frankie and the Rat Pack.

It’s pretty darn cool. I can actually see Jennifer Lopez doing something like this in the future. What do you think? Check out P. Diddy’s commercial:

I would guess that this is the kind of stuff Jennifer Lopez doesn’t miss. Sean Combs was at a party where once again gunshots were involved. Usher and Jermaine Dupri were also ducking gunfire. Apparently a “gunman opened fire inside the venue, sending the panicked crowd running for the exits.”

And to think while this was going on, Jen was having a quiet dinner with her hubby Marc Anthony. Something tells me she prefers this phase in her life to her old one.

There are times when J-Lo must get a little misty-eyed for her ex, Sean Combs. After all, he’s cute, successful, and seems down to earth.

Except for times like now.

P. Diddy told one source that his clothing and fragrance lines help men have better sex.

“Sean Jean is fashion Viagra. I’ve had 40 year-old men tell me that once they started wearing Sean Jean, everything changed for them, including their sex life.”

Uhhh…. yeah.

Diddy was on Ellen today and what a cute interview it was. Ellen’s so great with guests, isn’t she? So much different than most of the talk shows out there today.

Anyway, Ellen decided to have Diddy do a taste test to see if he could identify his own brand of vodka. It’s very cute, because Diddy looks like he’s getting hammered and Ellen looks fine! (Wonder if she was drinking water. Hmmm?) On the second glass Diddy starting making toasts. He kept asking her, “Are you drinking vodka, too?”

So with four different vodka’s to taste, can Diddy pick the right one?

Sure enough!

I keep thinking, with the similarities between J-Lo and her ex, Diddy, if Jennifer Lopez isn’t far behind with representing her own brand of beverages. I doubt she’d ever put her name behind anything alcoholic since she doesn’t drink, but she might do some fitness water. (And Jen if you’re reading this, I’ll take my 10% cut for that idea! haha)
