Fan Video: Avril Lavigne Dances to Jenny From the Block
February 21, 2009 by Cherie
I found this very creative video on YouTube and had to share with you all. In it, Avril Lavigne dances around in a video for her song, yet it’s set to the music of J-Lo’s “Jenny from the Block.”
It fits VERY well with the action in this Avril video. Very clever. Enjoy.
Video: Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony Sing Por Arriesgarnos
December 12, 2008 by Cherie
“Por Arriesgarnos” is one of my favorite songs from J-Lo. But the video is even better. I love the behind the scenes look at Jennifer and Marc at their concerts. I love that she starts out the video with a prayer, and I especially like seeing her pregnant because I know that’s what she’s wanted for so long. Jen and Marc just look so very happy in this video.
Plus, the music is so beautiful. I love Marc’s voice in particular and think his tone and Jen’s compliment each other very well. Enjoy.
Are J-Lo and Marc on the Outs?
December 12, 2008 by Cherie
Well people are buzzing like mad all over the Web because Jennifer Lopez went to the Benjamin Button premiere without Marc Anthony.
Seriously…. are these people kidding? Just because she didn’t wear her wedding ring doesn’t mean she’s about to get divorced. I know Jen doesn’t always wear her ring so I didn’t think twice about her not having it on in the photos.
J-Lo and Marc are in a very happy place now, since they’ve always wanted to have children and now have two beautiful babies.
I don’t think they are getting divorced. What do you think?
Video: Jenny from the Block and Do It Well Mix
December 7, 2008 by Cherie
One of Jlo’s fans did a great job with the mix of this video. They took the music from “Jenny from the Block” and the video from “Do It Well” to create a whole new video. I think the images from “Do It Well” work nicely with the “Jenny” music. It’s like they could literally take the shots from “Do It Well” and just transfer them to “Jenny from the Block.”
They’ve also got some nice photos of Jlo at the end. Enjoy.
Video: Fans Interview Jennifer Lopez
November 30, 2008 by Cherie
Jennifer Lopez has given fans the thrill of a lifetime by letting fans ask her tons of questions, like what it’s like to work with Marc, how she gets ready for a concert, what her future plans are in her music career, how she stays in shape, where she likes to go in Puerto Rico, and her favorite dish growing up.
Many fans had the opportunity to ask her things, but there are a few celebs thrown in for good measure, too.

Bennifer Makes Yet Another Top Ten List
November 15, 2008 by Cherie
I know one thing for certain. J-Lo fans loved it when Jennifer was with Ben Affleck. They were just so darn cute together! But their relationship had a life of its own. The BIG AND BLOATED BENNIFERRRRRRRRRR. (Picture Oprah saying it….)
It should come as no surprise that the “Bennifer” breakup makes yet another top ten list of awful, ugly, and disgusting celebrity splits. Sigh…. poor Ben and Jen…..
We know she’s happy now (and so is he) but we still look fondly on the Bennifer coupling.
In fact, here’s a clip I found from the two of them arriving at the Gigli premiere in the summer of 2003. Has it been five years already?

Did J-Lo Disappoint Fans in Athens?
September 23, 2008 by Cherie
We first brought you videos of Jennifer Lopez in Athens, where she did a concert in Greece. By the sounds of the clips I’ve heard, J-Lo fans absolutely loved her show.
Still, one gossip site is saying Jennifer disappointed fans by charging too much for the show (which might not have been her fault), opening the gates late, and playing for less than an hour. They quote an “insider” who also said her opening acts were “mediocre Greek performers.”
I’ll tell you that I heard something totally different on another site. First of all, this particular site says tickets started at $90, and I have information that says ticket prices started at $50. So that’s already different information. What do you think about this? Is someone once again trying to make J-Lo look bad because they have nothing else to say?
Jennifer Lopez Performs in Athens
What’s that you say? Couldn’t make it to Athens this weekend to see Jennifer Lopez perform?
No problem, here are some snippets from her concert. Sounds like the fans really enjoyed her show.
Here she is singing “Do It Well“:
Jen showed off her dance skills on her very first single, “If You Had My Love“:
Caught two versions of “My Love Don’t Cost a Thing.” Here’s the first angle:
and another angle:
I also have a couple angles of “Hold It Don’t Drop It.” This first one includes the long introduction Jennifer made before the song:
Here’s the song (with better audio) but without the introduction:
Now you get to see the awesome graphics that went with “Waiting for Tonight“:
Fan favorite “Let’s Get Loud“:
And perhaps her best known song, “Jenny from the Block.” This version doesn’t have the best audio, however.
I’ve also got additional videos of her performances of the songs, “Que Hiciste,” “Get Right,” “I’m Real/Ain’t Funny,” and “Porque Te Marchas” on this post.
Another great concert from J-Lo! Did you make it to the show? Comment and tell us what you thought.
Jennifer Lopez Greatest Hits CD Coming Soon
August 12, 2008 by Cherie
Here’s a nice present in time for the holidays. Jennifer Lopez will release a “greatest hits” CD sometime in the fall or winter months. We’ve been waiting for a greatest hits collection, and I’m glad to see they’re finally going to do it. (I may just put that on my own Christmas wish list.)
Here’s a video with a sneak peak of some of the songs that will be on the CD:
One source says these songs will be featured, but keep in mind, this is only a guess at this point:
- “If You Had My Love”
- “Jenny from the Block”
- “Waiting for Tonight”
- “Play”
- “Do It Well”
- “Feelin’ So Good”
- “Ain’t It Funny”
- “I’m Gonna Be Alright”
- “Love Don’t Cost a Thing”
- “I’m Glad”
- “I’m Real”
- “Ain’t It Funny”
- “Let’s Get Loud”
- “All I Have”
- “Get Right”
Personally, I’d like to see a few more of the remixes on this list, but I guess that’s what she already did with “J-to-the-Lo.” I’m sad to see “Brave” is also left off the list, because I think that’s a brilliant song, perfect metering and rhyme, and has a very strong message for females.
But other than that, I do think this will be a nice addition to any J-Lo fan’s musical database. I’m sure Jen will also do a video collection to go along with the CD. Can’t wait for that! Her videos really make the song.
What do you think? Will you buy the new Jennifer Lopez Greatest Hits CD when it comes out?
Jenny From the Block Laughs off the Sex Symbol Title
August 2, 2008 by Cherie
Jennifer Lopez has been called a sex symbol since her early days starting out in Hollywood. But that doesn’t mean she thinks of herself that way. She tells one source, “”I should be so lucky to be called a sex symbol! Seriously, it’s hilarious and I always laugh at those comments. I really don’t see myself as one.”
But until many other actresses and singers, she’s proven that she has staying power and that has to do with something. I think what makes Jen sexy is simply her ability to appreciate her body, flaws and all. When so many other actresses are trying to get plastic surgery to achieve “the perfect body,” Jennifer simply embraces her body. She doesn’t have the giant fake breasts and she didn’t get lipo for her large backside.
The pictures recently taken while she vacationed in Italy say it all:
Her body isn’t perfect, but that doesn’t mean she hesitates in popping on a bikini and going for a swim.
And motherhood definitely agrees with Jen. She has said, “Now my happiness resides in having the choice to reside with my babies and that is absolutely beautiful. I know most mothers would feel and say the same thing but it’s just fantastic.”
