Flashback: Jennifer Lopez on Letterman

March 25, 2009 by Cherie

Jennifer Lopez was on Letterman a while back to promote her movie, Shall We Dance?. As soon as they came out, Letterman commented on how great Jennifer smelled and started talking about her perfumes. He brought out Glow and Still, and sprayed a bit of it all over!

Then he congratulates her on her marriage to Marc Anthony. She says she doesn’t want to talk about it, and when he asks her if it was a quiet wedding says she had a “Bush moment.”

Dave keeps asking about her marriage, but she turns the attention back to Dave and asks about his baby. Then he asks her if she would like to have a family, and she says (of course) that she would. It’s a very cute exchange, take a look:

In the second half of the interview, Jennifer talks more about the film. She also talks about bringing Fly Girls to the Letterman set (wouldn’t that be great?)

The clips are so cute, this is definitely one of her best interviews.

Flashback: Jennifer Lopez on Letterman

October 22, 2008 by Cherie

In 2005, Jennifer Lopez appeared on David Letterman to promote her move An Unfinished Life.

Letterman starts out totally gushing over Jennifer. He talks about her looks, her personality, and her talent. He appears smitten!

Then he asks about Jen & Marc Anthony’s first anniversary and how they celebrated. They talked about how Jennifer supports Marc and how women throw things up on stage when he’s performing. J-Lo is very charming and funny in this segment. She also talks about making her movie An Unfinished Life with Robert Redford and Morgan Freeman.

In the second part of the interview Jen talks about being punished a lot in high school. She tells a story about sneaking her boyfriend into her house (which is a long story but very cute) and then you get to see a clip from the movie.

Flashback: Jennifer Lopez Talks About Bennifer on Oprah

August 8, 2008 by Cherie

I found a great set of clips to share with you this Friday. Jennifer Lopez was on the Oprah Winfrey show in 2004 talking about her new movie, Shall We Dance.

I thought the way Oprah first greeted her, by telling her she looked “tiny” a bit odd. But oh well. They then get right into the interview, and Jennifer talks about caring too much what other people think. I’ll let you listen to see what she said.

The next question is the BIG ONE. After all, it was 2004, and the hot news of the day was about BENNIFER: Jen’s relationship with Ben Affleck. Oprah simply said, “What happened?” So Jennifer talks about that.

In the second part of the interview, Oprah asks about Jen’s marriage to Marc Anthony, and also what the biggest misconception about Jen is.

The third part of the interview starts with a snip from Jennifer’s “Inside the Actor’s Studio” appearance. The Oprah asks what Jen would do differently in her life:

I loved this interview, and thought Jennifer shared her personality so well with Oprah. Don’t you wish you could sit down and chat with Jen yourself? She looks like she’d be fun to hang out with.

Flashback: J-Lo Performs “If You Had My Love” on Letterman

July 25, 2008 by Cherie

It’s hard to believe it was almost ten years ago that Jennifer Lopez released her first album. She’s come a long way now with lines of perfume, clothing, and of course, a new family.

But in 1999 she was all about her new album, On the 6. The first single from that was “If You Had My Love” and she hit the talk show circuit performing and singing. Here she is on Letterman performing live.

You can tell this is a live performance, because the vocals are really bad! It’s not the best we’ve heard Jen sing. In fact, she even looks like she’s struggling to hear the sound. She adjusted her ear piece several times during the song. She also looked to me like she was holding back from really dancing a lot. You can tell this is one of her first times performing her own music.

Still, she looks beautiful, though, doesn’t she? What a long way she’s come!
