Video: Fans Interview Jennifer Lopez

November 30, 2008 by Cherie

Jennifer Lopez has given fans the thrill of a lifetime by letting fans ask her tons of questions, like what it’s like to work with Marc, how she gets ready for a concert, what her future plans are in her music career, how she stays in shape, where she likes to go in Puerto Rico, and her favorite dish growing up.

Many fans had the opportunity to ask her things, but there are a few celebs thrown in for good measure, too.

Favorite Jennifer Lopez Song: JloStalker Readers Weigh In

Recently I asked readers which Jennifer Lopez song was their favorite. There were many opinions, but three songs stood out from the rest.

Several of you liked “Love Don’t Cost a Thing.” Which is a great song and even better video. A few you loved one of my personal favorite J-Lo songs, “I’m Real.” I love both versions of this song, the original and the remix versions.

But by far, the favorite song of all JloStalker readers was “Waiting for Tonight.” Great choice, readers! I like this song a lot, too. I think my favorite lines from this song are:

“I think of the days when the sun used to set
on my empty heart, all alone in my bed
tossing and turning
emotions were strong
I knew I had to hold on”

These lyrics convey how a lot of singles feel about waiting to find the right person. And you really can’t help hearing it without thinking about the millennium change. Remember how everyone was waiting for the year 2000? Jen did the video for the song with that in mind.

Jen did a behind the scenes special with MTV on the making of “Waiting for Tonight.”

In Part 1 she reveals that “Waiting for Tonight” was the first dance song that they picked for On the 6. The concept for the video was going to a rave for a new year’s party and having it turn out to be in the jungle. A rave in a jungle? You bet. Here’s Jen with more:

In Part 2 we get to see just how much work goes into making a video! At one point Jen is dancing on a three foot wide plexi-glass that is six feet in the air! Dangerous! My palms were sweating just watching it. They also used LASERs on this video, and at one pointing in shooting they actually burned Jen’s shoulder! Watch it here:

In Part 3, we get a look into the makeup that went into the “character” in the video. Remember all those sparkles? Here’s how they achieved it:

And finally, Part 4, along with the finished video:

She said in The Reel Me that it was just her in a studio dancing basically all day. Then they cut between her dancing and the original video. Another great remix.

Video From J-Lo’s Visit to PS 37 School

June 26, 2008 by Cherie

We recently told you J-Lo popped in for a special graduation day for a group of eighth graders at PS 37, a school for autistic children. They loved Jen’s dancing and music and wanted to perform one of her songs. They also wanted her there to see them!

They wrote letters, and Jennifer and Marc popped in to take pictures, watch their performance, and meet with the kids and parents. Here’s some video from that day, which looks like a really fun time for Jen and the kids. I especially love the cheer they do for her in the beginning.

Win a Copy of Viva el Amor: The Latino Wedding Planner

June 20, 2008 by Cherie

As we’ve already said, Jennifer Lopez has had her share of weddings and romance. She’s lived a “big life” so far, wouldn’t you agree? One of the things I love about her is you never know what’s coming next. Just when you think she’s going to settle down and have babies, she’s creating new fragrance and clothing lines.

When I first started this blog, I wrote a post about the “Top 10 Things We Love About J-Lo.” It was a fun post and since then you have added comments here and there yourselves. And here’s the secret: I LOVE hearing from you. It doesn’t matter if you disagree with me or not, I truly enjoy hearing what each of you has to say.

So once again, I want your opinions. And naturally, I’ll be rewarding you with another giveaway. First, the prize:
