Video: Clips of J-Lo Set to the Music of Brave

February 13, 2009 by Cherie

Happy Valentine’s Day, everybody!

Since it’s the “day of love,” why not celebrate with a video made from a fan that really loves Jennifer Lopez. They’ve put a lot of hard work into this video, which has clips from various movies, TV appearances, and music videos. It’s set to the song “Brave” so you know I love that! That song is inspiring and beautiful that I could listen to it again and again.

Which I will be doing right now! Enjoy this clip:

Flashback: Jennifer Lopez on Letterman

October 22, 2008 by Cherie

In 2005, Jennifer Lopez appeared on David Letterman to promote her move An Unfinished Life.

Letterman starts out totally gushing over Jennifer. He talks about her looks, her personality, and her talent. He appears smitten!

Then he asks about Jen & Marc Anthony’s first anniversary and how they celebrated. They talked about how Jennifer supports Marc and how women throw things up on stage when he’s performing. J-Lo is very charming and funny in this segment. She also talks about making her movie An Unfinished Life with Robert Redford and Morgan Freeman.

In the second part of the interview Jen talks about being punished a lot in high school. She tells a story about sneaking her boyfriend into her house (which is a long story but very cute) and then you get to see a clip from the movie.

Win a Wedding Double Feature

June 16, 2008 by Cherie

Summer is certainly the time for weddings. And since Jennifer Lopez has had a few weddings herself, why not help celebrate with a giveaway?

I’ve got a great DVD 2-disk set to giveaway to one of you fine folks. You could win The Wedding Planner on DVD and, as an added bonus, the movie My Best Friend’s Wedding. My Best Friend’s Wedding stars Julia Roberts, Cameron Diaz, Rupert Everett, and Dermot Mulroney and has a cute storyline and some very fun music. Like this scene:

I’m a sucker for 70s music. Maybe J-Lo’s next album should be 70s inspired. What do you think?

As I said, it’s a 2-disk set, so there’s also The Wedding Planner, which is one of Jen’s best movie roles. She plays a control freak, which works well for her job as a wedding planner but doesn’t do much for her personal life. As the story unfolds, we see why she’s so cautious with men.

But then comes Matthew McConaughey, a doctor that saves her from a runaway garbage dumpster. They meet, they lock eyes, and then Mary later realizes the wedding she now has to plan is Matt’s! Oh the drama! Oh the comedy!

Seriously, guys, it’s a great movie. One of my personal favorites, and I know you’ll love it. Here’s a clip from the trailer:

Want to win this 2-disk set? Leave a message on this post by Thursday, June 26th with your favorite wedding song. It could be from your own wedding, from a movie, a friend’s wedding, or even your dream wedding. We’re all about music here so share with us your favorite tune to walk down the aisle by!

I’ll choose the winner at random and announce the lucky guy or gal on Friday, June 27th.

Ben Affleck Originally Wanted to Cast Jennifer Lopez In Gone Baby Gone

June 5, 2008 by Cherie

What was Ben Affleck doing during the crazy Bennifer days? Writing a script, that’s what. He began the script for Gone, Baby, Gone based on the novel by Dennis Lehane, and originally thought it might be a good fit for Jennifer Lopez.

Here’s a preview:

I can see Jen in this movie, can’t you? Instead of casting Jen (since it’s kinda awkward to cast your ex-girlfriend) he cast his brother in the title role and decided to direct. I think that was a smart choice for him.

There’s a very interesting article about Ben in the Chester Chronicle, and one of the things it mentions is that Ben is fluent in Spanish and French. Wonder if he ever talked in Spanish with Jen? Or French? Ooo la la.

Ben has made some horrible movie choices since the breakup of Bennifer, so hopefully this film will help bring him back the respect he craves.
