Jennifer Lopez and hubby Marc Anthony (and their twins) are relaxing in Greece. This is their second European vacation this year. (Remember those fab pictures of Jen and the twins from Italy?)

Of course while they are there, Jennifer is mixing some business with pleasure. First she did her concert, and according to Hello! Magazine she also posed for a Greek lifestyle magazine.

While there she also stopped in a the J-Lo store. Here’s a clip:

Meryl Streep is sounding off on stars who sell the rights to their baby’s photos. She says she’s “appalled whenever she hears about a star bargaining for media cash over baby photos - even if the cash is for charity.”

She believes that when you’re a star you “lose your right to privacy” and “if you promote your children, then they lose their rights.”

Uh… Meryl? Here’s the thing: Many of these stars AREN’T promoting their children. They’re just trying to live. But whenever they walk out of their house their kid gets a price on its head by paparazzi that try and snap a shot of it. So their trying to avoid this by just selling the rights. Having a photog come to their house, snap some shots, and take the paparazzi out of the game.

Get it?

I have a lot of respect for Meryl’s acting, but I’m not so sure she truly understands how Hollywood has changed since she had her own kids.

So the baby bidding war continues.

First it was Christina Aguilera who received $1.5 million for the first picture of her son, Max.

Then J-Lo got $6 million for photos of her twins, Max and Emme.

Now Angelina Jolie is being offered $15 million for photos of her twins.

Apparently there’s a bidding war between People and OK!. And that’s just for now. Will it go higher?

It could, especially given the fact that everyone is dying to see the new babies who will undoubtedly be as cute as little Shiloh.

I’ve written about this subject in the past, and I’m pretty neutral on celebs getting money for baby photos. But I can’t imagine that news organizations like People and OK! will really make any money on the deal if they are doling out such a large amount. I think like all trends, this one will probably fade away.

In a new interview R&B Singer Usher says “”In no way would I ever pimp out my child for money,” in response to the question of accepting money to pose with his five-month-old son, Usher Raymond V.

Usher will pose with his tot on the cover of Essence Magazine in June. He is not receiving any money from this.

On one hand, I think the celebs have every right to protect their kids from a media circus. Usher would not have had the paparazzi that people like Angelina Jolie or even J-Lo had. Celebs that pose with their kids often cut off the high price the media puts on the heads of their children. But people like to judge each other, especially when it comes to parenting. I don’t have a problem with it, because I, like everyone else, enjoy seeing the pictures.

A new report says that Sean Combs (P. Diddy) is completely ticked about the coverage his ex-girlfriend Jennifer Lopez got from People with her twins.

Seems he feels like he’s getting dissed everywhere. First the LA Times mistakenly claims he did Tupac in, and now pictures of his twins were buried at the back while J-Lo’s babes were everywhere.

Well, no kidding. It was the debut of her twins, while Diddy’s babies were a year old already. Still, I’m not too sure I believe this. I mean, Diddy gets PR, so I doubt he’d go mouthing off about People when they love to cover him.

A more likely explanation is that he’s just sick of taking crap from the media. They’ve panned his performance in Raisin in the Sun and with the Tupac thing resurfacing, it was probably the last straw.

The baby picture wars continue….. sigh…..

Rumors said J-Lo got about $6 million for pictures of her, hubby Marc Anthony and the twins, and now one source claims Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt will probably get between $8-10 million for pictures of their next delivery (also rumored to be twins.)

Last go ’round Ang and Brad donated the money they got for baby Shiloh to charity. I’d imagine they would do this again with the new baby (or babies.)

Jennifer Lopez has not said what she’ll do with the money. Other celebs have kept their money, while some have donated part of it and kept the rest. Jen has taken some heat for not saying what she’ll do with the money.

Perhaps the folks at Parents magazine felt left out that J-Lo and babies graced the cover of People rather than Parents? In any event, it looks like Parents magazine is using Jennifer Lopez to get itself a little PR.

According to TMZ, the editors at Parents wrote an open letter to J-Lo citing her for safety hazards in her nursery.

As TMZ points out, however, Jen is “totally in the right”, not Parents. They spoke to a rep from Boo Boo Busters, a child safety company, who said that for newborns, the things Parents is referencing is not a concern. “When your baby starts sitting up, at around six months or so, that’s when you remove any canopies or mobiles.” Emme and Max are barely a month old.”

Parents also said Jen should put window guards on the nursery windows. Puh-leez, people. Do you understand what a PHOTO SHOOT is? It means things are staged to look pretty. As TMZ pointed out, “Perhaps window guards weren’t very photogenic? After all, in one of the magazine’s pictures, Jenny from the Block is pictured feeding her baby … in an evening gown. Next time Parents might want to wait to nail J.Lo and Marc Anthony until they’re seen driving erratically while dangling the twins out a car window.”

Well said.

Another blog, however, quoted Parents and left out the part about Parents being wrong. They instead decided to ask their readers what their advice for J-Lo would be. I’ll ask you guys the same thing, what do you think?

Jennifer Lopez talks about her babies, the People magazine shoot, and motherhood. She has a refreshingly normal view of parenthood and of losing the baby weight. One reporter also claims that she did not have invitro, and that twins ran in her family.

No more “J.Lo”?

I’d heard around the blogosphere that Jennifer Lopez was sick of the name J-Lo and had started asking folks not to call her that. But you know… that’s just a rumor.

But one source at least has jumped on that theory, saying that when she signed the deal for the baby photo shoot with People, she also asked them not to call her J-Lo. Later, that same site, said People denied this report.

Normally I’d leave it at that, but People denies a lot of things, like how much they REALLY end up paying for pictures and who they’re happy with on their cover. So to this I say: Hmmmmm.
