Does J-Lo Weight Loss Makes New Moms Feel Bad?

There’s been quite a bit of talk about Jennifer Lopez and her post-baby figure. Jen claims she did not even begin to work out until late May, which was three months after her twins, Max and Emme, were born. But many sources (like this one) blame Jen for dropping the weight too fast, and in doing so, making other non-celebrity moms feel bad about their bodies.

I say: NONSENSE.

First of all, celebrities are different from the rest of us. They have personal chefs and even when they aren’t working out round the clock, they eat much better. They have perfectly balanced meals to aid with weight loss but still be nourishing and healthy.

And when they do work out, they have personal trainers to get their butts in gear.

That doesn’t mean, however, that the rest of us need to compare ourselves. We can’t. We don’t have the time or the resources. We’re not celebs. And that’s okay.

It’s also not our fault if we take longer to lose our baby weight than Jennifer Lopez. I think Jen would be the first one to say that.

Not at all! I don’t see the big fuss with women who complain about Jlo losing hers fast. I lost all my entire 20 pregnancy lbs 2 weeks after giving birth. And I didn’t even try!

Exactly. I think every woman loses it on her own timeframe. Some lose it quicker than others, that’s all. :)
