The Making of Jenny From the Block

I’ve already said that “Jenny from the Block” is, IMHO, the best Jennifer Lopez video yet to date. I found a behind the scenes clip about the making of “Jenny from the Block” and how the concept came about. I think it’s interesting that the video was about the paparazzi, because she’s still a target for them. Sure, she keeps things under raps about her life, now, and that’s due in part to Marc’s influence and in part to her Bennifer experience. But she’s still a paparazzi target, even now all these years later.

Also, she talks about people and their misconceptions about her. How they want someone to blame or whatever and therefore just make up a story about her. I think she’s still dealing with that now. In fact I think anyone that lives their life and remains happy despite disappointment gets targeted from people. If J-Lo teaches us anything, it’s that everyone one of us should just be happy and live our life.

Another interesting thing about this video is that (TRIVIA ALERT) this is the first time Ben Affleck acted in a music video. It must be weird for the two of them, though, because seeing Ben in this video probably gives Jen, Ben, and Marc the creeps now! haha. Still, it’s a great video. Here’s how it was made:
