Diddy Afraid of Marriage
Oh what a difference eight years makes. This picture is from the first Latin Grammies, and J-Lo and Diddy relax. Who knew what was in store way back then?
Now J-Lo has a hubby and babies, and Diddy has babies. But he says he’ll never get married.
NEVER?
Never. He says he “lacked good married role models when he was young.”
I say: COP OUT.
Hey, who among us has stellar role models? I sure didn’t. But I have a happy marriage. I didn’t jump right on into it before I was ready, and I did wait until I met the right person, but I didn’t let my parents mistakes hold me back.
I think Diddy is afraid, mostly because he hasn’t met the right girl yet.
Here’s the thing I wonder: If he doesn’t believe in marriage, then how does he justify having so many kids out of wedlock. The total is up to six now. I understand his reservations, but he said he “blames his single-parent upbringing with mum Janice” and is essentially creating single parent situations with his girlfriends. While he may be involved, he can’t be 100% involved with every one of them all the time. He broke up with Kim Porter just a few months after she delivered their twins.
Since J-Lo has wanted a happy marriage and kids for a long time I have no doubt that this added to their break up years ago.

His mother was not a single parent by choice. His father was murdered when he was a baby. It was not as a result of divorce or an out of wedlock birth. His rationale doesn’t even match HIS situation growing up.

Exactly. Maybe Diddy is afraid of making the leap into marriage because he doubts himself. But he shouldn’t.
