Jennifer Lopez admitted that she isn’t going to breastfeed her babies.

Here’s the thing, and all the mommy journals in the world can sound off about it all they like, but the reasons why she choses to breastfeed (or not) are her own business. I doubt very seriously that her decision had a thing to do with her figure like this ridiculous post has suggested. J-Lo wanted kids for a long time and gained the proper amount of weight. She’s always said that she will do what’s best for her babies, so if she isn’t breastfeeding, perhaps it’s for a number of reasons.
I had two friends who had babies recently and both struggled with breastfeeding. The kids just never warmed up to the idea, and they soon went to bottles. Both moms felt terrible, in part because of the pressure that women put on other women. Maybe J-Lo had the same issue, and rather than blab that to the entire world she just said she didn’t because her mom didn’t. (Meaning, gee whiz, I turned out okay so my kids will be okay too.)
Instead of criticizing every little thing another woman does, how about supporting one another? How about that? How about doing what you feel is best for your own life, and then minding your own business when it comes to someone else’s? You think that might work for once?
If you notice a tone here it’s for good reason. This critical, “I know what’s best for your entire family” thing isn’t good for any of us. ENOUGH.
