J-Lo’s Interview With People Magazine
March 26, 2008 by Cherie
I picked up a copy of People magazine this weekend, which has Jennifer Lopez on the cover with her twins. And I have to say: she already looks great! Darn her! haha. She looks to have lost most of the baby weight, but Marc unfortunately looked really tired.
But as I was looking at his photos, I realized that all those rumors about J-Lo demanding that he be the photographer were completely false. (He couldn’t be if he was in many of the photos.) Goes to show you how much folks will spread rumors and get things screwed up because they don’t have anything else to say.)
I was surprised by a couple other things, too. First, that Jen says she did NOT have invitro. Because of her age and the fact that she’d been trying for so many years, I assumed that she did. She says not.
I was also shocked to hear what a great pregnancy she had. She didn’t have cravings or morning sickness, and she performed up until she was six and a half months in her pregnancy. (And by the looks of it, had lots of energy the entire time.)
Think of it. First she has trouble getting pregnant, and then she does and it goes so smooth. She’s very lucky. Think of how many others don’t have that! I was reading today that Angelina Jolie is very tired this pregnancy and has hired a nurse to help out with the other four kids she has. Angelina is also rumored to be with fraternal twins, and is having a girl and a boy. Like J-Lo, however, she “hasn’t confirmed” this with the media.
Jen and Marc commented about that, saying that they had told their friends and family, and besides that it was obvious she was. They just didn’t feel they had to talk to the press about it. Angelina seems to have taken that same stance. I agree with these ladies. Why should they talk about it just because someone asks?
Jennifer also said she stayed up for three straight days just wanting to look at the babies. I think that’s so sweet. After all, she’d wanted to be a mother for so long and then had them and just loved them so much she couldn’t stop looking at them. She said her and Marc are pretty sleep deprived too! (Like I said, he looks like it.) I guess that’s pretty normal, though. I’d just read at b5’s Celeb Tot’s blog that Kate Hudson (who is also a mom) said:
“I miss sleep! When you become a parent, you don’t get to sleep anymore. I don’t think I’ve slept in four years,” she laughed.
She’s mom to four-year old Ryder of course. I wonder if she told J-Lo that when they were backstage at “Movies Rock”: A Celebration of Music in Film at the Kodak Theater this past December.
The other big shocker? Jen plans to train for a triathlon! Following in her buddy Katie Holmes footsteps perhaps?
If you’ll remember, Katie ran the New York City marathon in November. But Jennifer wants to do a triathlon! Sheesh. Marc just kind of shook his head at this comment, and said “Overachiever.” Yeah, Marc, we agree. Jen says in September or October she’ll probably do one. I wouldn’t put it past her. She said she wanted to do something for a feeling of accomplishment. J-Lo, you just gave birth to healthy twins! THAT’S an accomplishment!
